Description

The GIS Datasets contain the route and stations of the 1370.7km 32″ Petrodar Oil Pipeline and its 4.2km branch line to Khartoum Refinery. The main line starts from Palouge FPF in Malut, Upper Nile, South Sudan and ends at Marine Terminal (Bashayer-2) in Sawakin Town, Red Sea, Sudan. This pipeline is also known as Melut Oil Export Pipeline.

2 Files Included

Three GIS datasets are included in this product based on pipeline facility types. Additionally, some GIS formats do not allow the mixing of different entity types (i.e., points, lines, and areas) within a single file.

2.1 Route of Petrodar Oil Pipeline (Melut Oil Export Pipeline)

The datasets contain a line with the exact location coordinates of 1471 Turning Points along the pipeline route.

2.2 Main Stations of Petrodar Oil Pipeline (Melut Oil Export Pipeline)

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 10 oil fields, pump stations, metering station, and marine terminal.

2.3 Block Valve Stations of Petrodar Oil Pipeline (Melut Oil Export Pipeline)

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 39 block valve stations (BV) and offtake point.

We provide three types of file formats: .kmz, .shp, and .xlsx. Our users can open .kmz and .shp files with various GIS software and convert them into other GIS formats. You can use Excel to open .xlsx files, which contain the coordinates of pipeline route turning points and stations.
