The GIS Datasets contain the route and stations of the 968.6km 42″/48″ GR2 Gas Pipeline, which runs from Alrar Departure Terminal in Debdeb, Illizi, and ends at National Gas Dispatching Center (CNDG) in Hassi R’Mel, Laghouat. The pipeline is also known as Alrar – Hassi R’Mel Gas Pipeline.

Three GIS datasets are included in this product based on pipeline facility types. Additionally, some GIS formats do not allow the mixing of different entity types (i.e., points, lines, and areas) within a single file.

2.1 Route of GR2 Gas Pipelines (Alrar – Hassi R’Mel Gas Pipeline)

The datasets contain a line with the exact location coordinates of 996 turning points along the pipeline route.

2.2 Main Stations of GR2 Gas Pipelines (Alrar – Hassi R’Mel Gas Pipeline)

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 17 compressor stations, metering stations, and pigging stations.

2.3 Valve Stations of GR2 Gas Pipelines (Alrar – Hassi R’Mel Gas Pipeline)

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 41 valve stations.

We provide three types of file formats: .kmz, .shp, and .xlsx. Our users can open .kmz and .shp files with various GIS software and convert them into other GIS formats. You can use Excel to open .xlsx files, which contain the coordinates of pipeline route turning points and stations.
