The GIS Datasets contain the route and stations of the 521km 48″ GPDF Gas Pipeline, which runs from the National Gas Dispatching Center (CNDG) in Hassi R’Mel, Laghouat, and ends at Algeria-Morocco border in Mecherâa Ennouar, Kasdir, Naama. The pipeline is also known as Pédro Duran Farell Pipeline and Maghreb – Europe Gas Pipeline (MEG) Algeria Section.

2 Files Included

Three GIS datasets are included in this product based on pipeline facility types. Additionally, some GIS formats do not allow the mixing of different entity types (i.e., points, lines, and areas) within a single file.

2.1 Route of GPDF Gas Pipeline (Pédro Duran Farell Pipeline)

The datasets contain a line with the exact location coordinates of 580 turning points along the pipeline route.

2.2 Main Stations of GPDF Gas Pipeline (Pédro Duran Farell Pipeline)

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 7 compressor station, metering stations, and pigging stations.

2.3 Valve Stations of GPDF Gas Pipeline (Pédro Duran Farell Pipeline)

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 22 valve stations.

We provide three types of file formats: .kmz, .shp, and .xlsx. Our users can open .kmz and .shp files with various GIS software and convert them into other GIS formats. You can use Excel to open .xlsx files, which contain the coordinates of pipeline route turning points and stations.
