The GIS Datasets contain the route and stations of the 775km 24″ TRAPSA Oil Pipeline, which runs from In Amenas, Illizi, Algeria to Skhira, Sfax, Tunisia. The pipeline’s Algeria section is also known as OT1 pipeline.

2 Files Included

Three GIS datasets are included in this product based on pipeline facility types. Additionally, some GIS formats do not allow the mixing of different entity types (i.e., points, lines, and areas) within a single file.

2.1 Route of TRAPSA Oil Pipeline

The datasets contain a line with the exact location coordinates of 870 turning points along the pipeline route.

2.2 Main Stations of TRAPSA Oil Pipeline

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 5 pump stations and oil terminals.

2.3 Tie-in Points of TRAPSA Oil Pipeline

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 5 tie-in points.

We provide three types of file formats: .kmz, .shp, and .xlsx. Our users can open .kmz and .shp files with various GIS software and convert them into other GIS formats. You can use Excel to open .xlsx files, which contain the coordinates of pipeline route turning points and stations.

The downloadable files of digital pipeline map are updated irregularly to reflect the relocation of pipeline, construction of new stations, removal of existing stations and changes of administrative areas.
