Description

The map contains the 692km 42″ South Caucasus Gas Pipeline (SCP) and its 491km 48″ Expansion Project (SCPX). The pipeline system runs from the Sangachal Terminal in Bakı (Baku), Ardahan, Azerbaijan, and ends at the Georgia-Türkiye border in Akhaltsikhe, Samtskhe-Javakheti, where it supplies the gas into Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP) and Azerbaijan – Turkey Natural Gas Pipeline. This pipeline is also known as the Azerbaijan and Georgia part of Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum Natural Gas Pipeline (BTE).

2 Methodology

The vector pipeline maps (.pdf and .ai) are created using data collected from various sources including GPS, remote sensing technology, and geographic surveys, resulting in more precise location information for pipeline stations and turning points along the pipeline route.

This map includes the geographical area from the pipeline’s starting point to its end point. Its content contains the pipeline route, stations along the pipeline, and the administrative regions that the pipeline passes through.

Two file formats, .pdf and .ai (Adobe Illustrator), are included. Both of them are editable and layered. Users can show and hide a layer simply with a mouse click.
