Description

The map contains Turkmenistan Bagtyýarlyk Contract Area’s gas fields (gas gathering stations), gas processing plants, processed gas pipelines, feed gas gathering main lines and branch lines, and gas export compressor station.

The fields and associated infrastructure shown on the map are updated irregularly on the progress of field development. Currently, the map includes the following fields:

2 Methodology

The vector pipeline maps (.pdf and .ai) are created using data collected from various sources including GPS, remote sensing technology, and geographic surveys, resulting in more precise location information for pipeline stations and turning points along the pipeline route.

3 Files Included in This Digital Map

3.1 [Main Map] Bagtyýarlyk Contract Area Gas Fields and Main Gas Pipelines

This map includes the geographical area from the pipeline’s starting point to its end point. Its content contains the pipeline route, stations along the pipeline, and the administrative regions that the pipeline passes through.

Two file formats, .pdf and .ai (Adobe Illustrator), are included. Both of them are editable and layered. Users can show and hide a layer simply with a mouse click.

The country map itself doesn’t contain pipeline information. However, it serves as a platform into which our users can easily add various pipeline map plugins. With pipeline map plugins, the country map provides a perspective of the pipelines from the geographical scope of the entire nation.

3.3 [Turkmenistan Country Map Plugin] Bagtyýarlyk Contract Area Gas Fields and Main Gas Pipelines

The country map plugin is a single-layered .pdf file containing the pipeline route. It can be added into the country map simply with a couple of mouse clicks. 4 Editability of Map:

Based on the layered digital map (.pdf and .ai), users can perform further development and modifications, including but not limited to:

• Adjusting the position of text and modifying its attributes such as font, font size, and color;
• Adjusting the position and size of icon symbols;
• Modifying the path of oil and gas pipelines to reflect changes caused by rerouting;
• Adding new pipelines and stations;
• Changing the border color and line weight of different administrative regions;
• Modifying the map background color.
