Description

The GIS Datasets contain the route and stations of the 406km Inter Refineries Pipeline phase 2 in UAE. The pipeline consists two sections: the 204km Ruwais Refinery – Mussafah section, the 161km Mussafah – Al Ain Section, the 24km Mussafah – Abu Dhabi Airport Section, and the 17km Abu Dhabi Refinery – Mussafah Section. The operation of Abu Dhabi Refinery – Mussafah section has been ceased since Abu Dhabi Refinery was decommissioned.

2 Files Included

Three GIS datasets are included in this product based on pipeline facility types. Additionally, some GIS formats do not allow the mixing of different entity types (i.e., points, lines, and areas) within a single file.

2.1 Route of UAE Inter Refineries Pipeline II (IRP-II)

The datasets contain a line with the exact location coordinates of 865 Turning Points along the pipeline route.

2.2 Main Stations of UAE Inter Refineries Pipeline II (IRP-II)

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 5 refineries and oil terminals.

2.3 Block Valve Stations of UAE Inter Refineries Pipeline II (IRP-II)

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 12 block valve stations (BVS).

We provide three types of file formats: .kmz, .shp, and .xlsx. Our users can open .kmz and .shp files with various GIS software and convert them into other GIS formats. You can use Excel to open .xlsx files, which contain the coordinates of pipeline route turning points and stations.

 

3 Lifetime Free Updates:

The downloadable files of digital pipeline map are updated irregularly to reflect the relocation of pipeline, construction of new stations, removal of existing stations and changes of administrative areas.
