The GIS Datasets contain the route and stations of the 20km 20″ Ramal Empalme gas pipeline, which supplies natural gas from Guaymas, Sonora to the combined cycle power plant in Empalme, Sonora. This pipeline is part of the Sonora Gas Pipeline.

2 Files Included

Two GIS datasets are included in this product based on pipeline facility types. Additionally, some GIS formats do not allow the mixing of different entity types (i.e., points, lines, and areas) within a single file.

2.1 Route of Ramal Empalme Gas Pipeline

The datasets contain a line with the exact location coordinates of 72 Turning Points along the pipeline route.

2.2 Main Stations of Ramal Empalme Gas Pipeline

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 2 regulation, measurement and control stations.

We provide three types of file formats: .kmz, .shp, and .xlsx. Our users can open .kmz and .shp files with various GIS software and convert them into other GIS formats. You can use Excel to open .xlsx files, which contain the coordinates of pipeline route turning points and stations.
