The GIS Datasets contain the route and stations of the 298km 18″/10″ Mina Al Fahal – Sohar product pipeline, which consists of 3 sections: the 228km 18″ Sohar Refinery – Al Jefnain Section, the 45km 10″ Mina Al Fahal Refinery – Al Jefnain Section, and the 25km 10″ Al Jefnain – Muscat International Airport Section.

2 Files Included

Three GIS datasets are included in this product based on pipeline facility types. Additionally, some GIS formats do not allow the mixing of different entity types (i.e., points, lines, and areas) within a single file.

2.1 Route of Muscat – Sohar Product Pipeline

The datasets contain a line with the exact location coordinates of 925 Turning Points along the pipeline route.

2.2 Main Stations of Muscat – Sohar Product Pipeline

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 4 refineries and oil terminals.

2.3 Block Valve Stations of Muscat – Sohar Product Pipeline

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 12 block valve stations (BVS).

We provide three types of file formats: .kmz, .shp, and .xlsx. Our users can open .kmz and .shp files with various GIS software and convert them into other GIS formats. You can use Excel to open .xlsx files, which contain the coordinates of pipeline route turning points and stations.

 

3 Lifetime Free Updates:

The downloadable files of digital pipeline map are updated irregularly to reflect the relocation of pipeline, construction of new stations, removal of existing stations and changes of administrative areas.

Our users are entitled to lifetime free updates for the digital maps they purchased. To download the latest updated map, visit the product download link via “my account” page of this website.
