The GIS Datasets contain the 865km 26″ Mozambique – Secunda Pipeline (MSP) and its 254.5km loop lines. The main line which runs from Temane central processing facility (CPF) in Inhassoro, Inhambane, Mozambique, and ends at Secunda Terminal in Govan Mbeki, Mpumalanga, South Africa. The pipeline is also known as Mozambique – South Africa Gas Pipeline and ROMPCO pipeline.

2 Files Included

Two GIS datasets are included in this product based on pipeline facility types. Additionally, some GIS formats do not allow the mixing of different entity types (i.e., points, lines, and areas) within a single file.

2.1 Route of Mozambique – Secunda Pipeline (MSP)

The datasets contain a line with the exact location coordinates of 1748 turning points along the pipeline route.

2.2 Main Stations of Mozambique – Secunda Pipeline (MSP)

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 9 gas processing plant, compressor station, and scraper trap stations.

We provide three types of file formats: .kmz, .shp, and .xlsx. Our users can open .kmz and .shp files with various GIS software and convert them into other GIS formats. You can use Excel to open .xlsx files, which contain the coordinates of pipeline route turning points and stations.

 

3 Lifetime Free Updates:

The downloadable files of digital pipeline map are updated irregularly to reflect the relocation of pipeline, construction of new stations, removal of existing stations and changes of administrative areas.
