Description

The GIS Datasets contain the route and stations of the 95.7km Garraf Crude Oil Export Pipeline (GBTA – Nasiriyah) in Iraq. The pipeline starts from the Gharraf-Badra Tie-in Area (GBTA) Pig Launching Station in Refai, Dhi-Qar and ends at the new Nasiriyah Crude Oil Depot in An Nasiriyah, Dhi-Qar. From the Nasiriyah Crude Oil Depot, the oil is sent to nearby PS-2 of Iraq Strategic Pipeline.

2 Files Included

Three GIS datasets are included in this product based on pipeline facility types. Additionally, some GIS formats do not allow the mixing of different entity types (i.e., points, lines, and areas) within a single file.

2.1 Route of Garraf Crude Oil Export Pipeline (GBTA – Nasiriyah)

The datasets contain a line with the exact location coordinates of 363 Turning Points along the pipeline route.

2.2 Main Stations of Garraf Crude Oil Export Pipeline (GBTA – Nasiriyah)

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 3 crude oil depot and pigging stations.

2.3 Valve Stations of Garraf Crude Oil Export Pipeline (GBTA – Nasiriyah)

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 6 valve stations (VS).

We provide three types of file formats: .kmz, .shp, and .xlsx. Our users can open .kmz and .shp files with various GIS software and convert them into other GIS formats. You can use Excel to open .xlsx files, which contain the coordinates of pipeline route turning points and stations.
