GIS Datasets of Al Ain – Fujairah Gas Pipeline: Pipeline Route, Gas Supply Stations, Border Tie-in Station, Block Valve Stations

Description

The GIS Datasets contain the route and stations of the 199km 24″ Al Ain – Fujairah gas pipeline. The pipeline was constructed to supply Oman natural gas to Fujairah.  Since Dolphin Gas Project was commissioned, Al Ain – Fujairah gas pipeline has been receiving natural gas from its interconnection with Taweelah – Fujairah gas pipeline. From the interconnection point, the pipeline supplies natural gas to Fujairah and Oman as well.

2 Files Included

Three GIS datasets are included in this product based on pipeline facility types. Additionally, some GIS formats do not allow the mixing of different entity types (i.e., points, lines, and areas) within a single file.

2.1 Route of Al Ain – Fujairah Gas Pipeline

The datasets contain a line with the exact location coordinates of 807 Turning Points along the pipeline route.

2.2 Main Stations of Al Ain – Fujairah Gas Pipeline

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 3 gas supply stations and border tie-in station.

2.3 Block Valve Stations of Al Ain – Fujairah Gas Pipeline

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 6 block valve stations (BVS).

We provide three types of file formats: .kmz, .shp, and .xlsx. Our users can open .kmz and .shp files with various GIS software and convert them into other GIS formats. You can use Excel to open .xlsx files, which contain the coordinates of pipeline route turning points and stations.

The downloadable files of digital pipeline map are updated irregularly to reflect the relocation of pipeline, construction of new stations, removal of existing stations and changes of administrative areas.
