Description

The GIS Datasets contain the route and stations of the 436km main gas pipelines of Southwest Gas Field Development Project (SWGFD), which sends natural gas from Hassi Ba Hamou (HBH), Hassi Tidjerane (HTJ), and Tinerkouk (TNK) fields in Adrar to GR7 Gas Pipeline in Ghardaia. The pipelines consist of Hassi Ba Hamou – GR7 Gas Pipeline, Hassi Tidjerane – Hassi Ba Hamou Gas Pipeline, and Tinerkouk – GR7 Gas Pipeline.

2 Files Included

Three GIS datasets are included in this product based on pipeline facility types. Additionally, some GIS formats do not allow the mixing of different entity types (i.e., points, lines, and areas) within a single file.

2.1 Route of Southwest Gas Field Development Project (SWGFD)

The datasets contain a line with the exact location coordinates of 640 turning points along the pipeline route.

2.2 Main Stations of Southwest Gas Field Development Project (SWGFD)

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 5 gas field CPFs and arrival terminals.

2.3 Offtake Points of Southwest Gas Field Development Project (SWGFD)

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 20 valve stations.

We provide three types of file formats: .kmz, .shp, and .xlsx. Our users can open .kmz and .shp files with various GIS software and convert them into other GIS formats. You can use Excel to open .xlsx files, which contain the coordinates of pipeline route turning points and stations.

The downloadable files of digital pipeline map are updated irregularly to reflect the relocation of pipeline, construction of new stations, removal of existing stations and changes of administrative areas.
