The GIS Datasets contain the route and stations of the 741km Khartoum – Port Sudan 12-inch Product Pipeline and its 2.75km branch line to Atbara Oil Depot. The main line starts from Alrwyan Oil Terminal in El Geili, Khartoum Bahri, Khartoum and ends at Port Sudan Oil Terminal in Sawakin Town, Red Sea.

2 Files Included

Three GIS datasets are included in this product based on pipeline facility types. Additionally, some GIS formats do not allow the mixing of different entity types (i.e., points, lines, and areas) within a single file.

2.1 Route of Khartoum – Port Sudan 12-inch Product Pipeline

The datasets contain a line with the exact location coordinates of 1365 Turning Points along the pipeline route.

2.2 Main Stations of Khartoum – Port Sudan 12-inch Product Pipeline

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 5 oil terminals and pigging stations.

2.3 Block Valve Stations of Khartoum – Port Sudan 12-inch Product Pipeline

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 10 block valve stations (BV).

We provide three types of file formats: .kmz, .shp, and .xlsx. Our users can open .kmz and .shp files with various GIS software and convert them into other GIS formats. You can use Excel to open .xlsx files, which contain the coordinates of pipeline route turning points and stations.

 

3 Lifetime Free Updates:

The downloadable files of digital pipeline map are updated irregularly to reflect the relocation of pipeline, construction of new stations, removal of existing stations and changes of administrative areas.
