Description

The GIS Datasets contain the route and stations of the 129km Iran – Iraq Gas Export Pipeline (Naftshahr – Baghdad) and its 88km branch lines to Al‑Mansuriya Power Plant, Al-Qudus Gas Power Plant and Besmaya Power Plant. The main line starts from Iraq -Iran border in Khanaqin, Diyala and ends at pig receiving station in Balad Ruz, Diyala.

2 Files Included

Three GIS datasets are included in this product based on pipeline facility types. Additionally, some GIS formats do not allow the mixing of different entity types (i.e., points, lines, and areas) within a single file.

2.1 Route of Iran – Iraq Gas Export Pipeline (Naftshahr – Baghdad)

The datasets contain a line with the exact location coordinates of 674 Turning Points along the pipeline route.

2.2 Main Stations of Iran – Iraq Gas Export Pipeline (Naftshahr – Baghdad)

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 12 pigging stations and power plants.

2.3 Valve Stations of Iran – Iraq Gas Export Pipeline (Naftshahr – Baghdad)

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 7 valve stations.

We provide three types of file formats: .kmz, .shp, and .xlsx. Our users can open .kmz and .shp files with various GIS software and convert them into other GIS formats. You can use Excel to open .xlsx files, which contain the coordinates of pipeline route turning points and stations.
