Description

The GIS Datasets contain the 487km 48″ Balkan Stream Gas Pipeline (Bulgaria Section), which receives natural gas from TurkStream Onshore Section-2 Natural Gas Pipeline at Bulgaria-Türkiye border in Bolyarovo, Yambol, and ends at Bulgaria-Serbia border in Kula, Vidin. This pipeline consists of 2 sections: the Bulgaria-Türkiye border to GMS Strandzha section and Provadiya to Bulgaria-Serbia border section. The Provadiya to Bulgaria-Serbia border section is also known as “Expansion of the gas transmission infrastructure of Bulgartransgaz EAD parallel to the north (main) gas pipeline to the Bulgarian-Serbian border” Project.

2 Files Included

Three GIS datasets are included in this product based on pipeline facility types. Additionally, some GIS formats do not allow the mixing of different entity types (i.e., points, lines, and areas) within a single file.

2.1 Route of Balkan Stream Gas Pipeline (Bulgaria Section)

The datasets contain a line with the exact location coordinates of 722 turning points along the pipeline route.

2.2 Main Station of Balkan Stream Gas Pipeline (Bulgaria Section)

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 7 compressor stations (CS), gas metering station (GMS), pig facilities (PF).

2.3 Valve Assemblies of Balkan Stream Gas Pipeline (Bulgaria Section)

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 24 valve assemblies (VA).

We provide three types of file formats: .kmz, .shp, and .xlsx. Our users can open .kmz and .shp files with various GIS software and convert them into other GIS formats. You can use Excel to open .xlsx files, which contain the coordinates of pipeline route turning points and stations.
