Description

The GIS Datasets contain the 1811km 56″/48″/36″ Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP), which runs from the Türkiye-Georgia border in Posof, Ardahan, and ends at the Türkiye-Greece border in İpsala, Edirne. The pipeline receives natural gas from South Caucasus Gas Pipeline (SCP) and South Caucasus Pipeline Expansion Project (SCPX), and sends the gas into Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP).

2 Files Included

Three GIS datasets are included in this product based on pipeline facility types. Additionally, some GIS formats do not allow the mixing of different entity types (i.e., points, lines, and areas) within a single file.

2.1 Route of Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP)

The datasets contain a line with the exact location coordinates of 3726 turning points along the pipeline route.

2.2 Main Stations of Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP)

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 16 existing compressor stations, measuring stations, pigging stations.

2.3 Block Valve Stations of Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP)

The datasets contain the exact location coordinates and names of the pipeline’s 49 existing block valve stations.

We provide three types of file formats: .kmz, .shp, and .xlsx. Our users can open .kmz and .shp files with various GIS software and convert them into other GIS formats. You can use Excel to open .xlsx files, which contain the coordinates of pipeline route turning points and stations.

The downloadable files of digital pipeline map are updated irregularly to reflect the relocation of pipeline, construction of new stations, removal of existing stations and changes of administrative areas.
